A group of people seeking "experiences beyond the mainstream".  You may already be a member and don't even know it.

The first group was formed in San Francisco.  The original members of this group became the organizers of Burning Man. Other events created by the San Francisco branch are: the Atomic Cafe, the Chinese New Year’s Treasure Hunt, the picnic on the Golden Gate Bridge, the Brides of March, Urban Iditarod, and the Sewer Walk. (see MISC. section below for explanations).

CACOPHONY SOCIETY chapters have opened around the world.  The Cacophony Santas have even been spotted in Antarctica.
