Post-Punks are the cool cousins of Punk who discovered eyeliner, existential dread, and the joy of danceable gloom. They swapped Mohawks for trench coats, guitars for echo pedals, and rage for brooding irony. Basically, they’re still rebelling—just now against sunlight, cheerfulness, and anyone who claps on the wrong beat.
Post-punks have their holy trinity of musts:
Wardrobe: Black, grey, and the occasional “I’m miserable but stylish” burgundy. Bonus points for oversized coats.
Music: At least one band with a name that sounds like an art thesis (Joy Division, Bauhaus, etc.).
Vibe: Eternal “I’m not mad, just disenchanted” energy.
