Okay, so after a lot, a lot of research, this is what we here are at Hella Cliques came up with... Greasers were bratty teenagers, of the US, who saw some of their peers (preps) living comfortably because of the post-war boom. However, they, coming from working-class families, were not as prosperous. They rebelled against the inequalities by being, essentially, hoodlums. They drove loud, obnoxious cars. They slicked back their hair, had tattoos and wore black, leather jackets. And they shamefully rocked out to hard-core Rock-N-Roll known as Rockabilly. The clique then spread across continents. This is where the research came in... because back in the day, there wasn't a clique called Rockabilly, there was only a music genre by that name (a mix of Rock-N-Roll and Hillbilly Country). Today, we have some people calling themselves Greasers and others calling themselves Rockabilly and it has gotten confusing. So GREASERS is the original clique, Rockabilly is the music.
