In 1991 a hip-hop group of Detroit, Michigan named Inner City Posse teamed up with a local record store owner and established an independant record label that they named Psychopathic Records. Later that year the group released their first professionally produced album, Dog Beats. They then concentrated on perfecting their image and brainstormed ideas of how to get their music heard. What emerged was the Insane Clown Posse and their Dark Carnival concept. The group put out three more albums, with some band member changes, before starting to produce outside groups. The label now also produces videos and professional wrestling.
Juggalos and Juggalettes/Juggalas are fans of Insane Clown Posse and all of the groups under Psychopathic Records. The label holds several annual events where all acts perform (the Psychopathic Family or Hatchet Family).
Over the years the Juggalo family has had some ups and downs, go to the MISC. section for links.
