GLAM is a subculture inspired by GLAM ROCK: style of Rock music that in the 1070s quickly gained popularity and therefore became labelled as Pop music (originating in Great Britain). The singers and bands had a distinct look that is called "Glam" or "Glitter". Arguably the most famous Glam Rocker was the late David Bowie, who perfectly portrayed the Glam look.
Although, Glam Rock was short lived, it's influence is undeniable on Punk and Goth.
