A DANDY is a man who places particular importance upon physical appearance, refined language, and leisurely hobbies.  This aesthetic became a clique in England in the late 1800s; in Japan during the late 1990s; and currently in the Republic of Congo - SEE SAPEUR PAGE.  Norris Ford and Quentin Thrash are now bringing it to L.A. and Jidenna to New York City.

A female Dandy may be known as a Dandizette or more commonly, Dandy Girl.
